Beer Gardens
The popular Sauce Brewing Co Beer Garden on an oddly quiet moment
Sauce Brewing Co - Sauce have had a big ol’ beer garden out the back for years. Dogs and kids are very welcome. Don’t let the warehouse doors out the front fool you, there is sunshine past the bar. Open Wednesday to Sunday. Bookings for larger groups are recommended, especially on weekends.
Philter - A few years back, Philter opened their very Miami themed roof top garden and have since added some kerbside seating. Both can get busy on sunny weekend days. Open Wednesday to Sunday. Bookings available
Philter’s Miami Inspired Rooftop
Gasoline Pony - This iconic small music venue in Marrickville hides a little secret. A cozy covered garden tucked out the back. They have a local beer on tap and a good menu too. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
Henson Park Hotel - Locally known as “the Heno”, this updated pub has a kid and dog friendly garden out the back and lots of great local beer on tap. Don’t look past the menu, they have lots of options for the whole family. Open 7 days.

The Factory Theatre - This venue is known for live music and other events, but you can often just rock up to enjoy the big outdoor space, and a beer from one of the Inner West breweries. They host food trucks in the courtyard with Island Boys Foods holding a permanent residence.
Village (aka Wildflower) - One of our local favourites, with some of the most exciting beers brewed in the Inner West. Village have long, narrow outdoor space wedged between their two buildings. Very kid and dog friendly (ask for the chalk bucket so your little one can draw on the pavement). Open Thursday to Sunday.
Marrickville Bowlo - Aka ‘the club under the flight path’. This popular local club serves plenty of local beer and has a lots of covered tables around the blowing green. They fill up quickly on a sunny Sunday afternoon when they hold their famous meat raffle. Yes, there is usually beer up as a prize as well. Open 7 days, membership required.
